When should I start dress shopping?
The ideal time to begin shopping for your gown is 8-12 months before your wedding day. Each gown is made specifically for you and may take approximately 4-8 months to arrive to our boutique. We suggest that you allow 3-4 months for alterations and about 3 months to pick out the perfect accessories to complete your look! However, if you’re excited and anxious to find your gown sooner than that, it’s never too early to say “YES” to the dress of your dreams!
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are required for those looking to try on dresses as well as bridal accessories. We are usually able to accommodate walk-ins during our weekday hours, however an appointment is still highly recommended. Click Request Appointment to schedule your appointment to ensure a fitting room is available.
How long are appointments?
Our bridal appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes. We want to be sure to provide you with plenty of time to browse our vast collection of dresses. Bridesmaids appointments are scheduled for 60-90 minutes.
What if I need a dress quickly or I would prefer to take my dress home right away?
No problem! Almost all our wedding dresses can be purchased off-the-rack to take home the day of your appointment. And even better yet - many of them at a discount! We get it - not all brides have the time to wait for a dress to come in or just don't want to. Don't worry - we've got you covered.
How much do your gowns & dresses cost?
The average range for a bridal gown is priced between $1,200-$1,800. Bridesmaids' dresses range from $140 - $325.
When I say “Yes to the dress” do I have to pay in full?
You sure can, but we only require a 50% down payment. The remaining balance is due when your dress arrives our store.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept all credit cards and cash payments.
Will your dresses fit me?
Our selection of in-store sample bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses range from sizes 8-14, and most of our gowns and dresses can be ordered in size 2-24, with some designers offering sizes 00-34.
When trying on gowns, your dedicated stylist will clip the dress in certain areas to fit your body size. We also offer a selection of gowns and dresses for our curvier guests in sizes 18-28. We continuously work closely with our designers to curate a collection unlike any other boutique in the area! We are always searching for styles that leave you feeling comfortable, confident and BEAUTIFUL!
Can I book back-to-back Bridal and Bridesmaid appointments?
Bridal appointments can be an emotional time and require making quite a few decisions. We recommend keeping the focus on the bride and encourage a separate appointment time for the bridesmaids. If, however, that isn’t an option it’s best to schedule a bridesmaids appointment following the bridal appointment.
Please note we do charge a $25 booking fee for off-hour appointments.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
We will make sure your appointment is everything you imagined and more! To ensure you are prepared, we recommend following some of our helpful tips to ensure your bridal
experience is perfect.
1. Create an idea board
The inspiration and resources available to brides today is infinite. From Pinterest to blogs and YouTube videos where you can capture many ideas and trends for your wedding. This is a huge advantage to getting to see what’s trending before you say, “Yes to the Dress”. Not every dress you see online is attainable for the average bride (or even real for that matter) but it is a helpful tool to determine what styles and options you like.
2. Can you accommodate large groups?
While we understand that you’d love to have your favorite people help you select the dress of your dreams, we have learned through our many years of experience, that it’s best to keep your group size to no more than five people. This allows us to keep our focus on you and provide comfortable seating for your guests. This is especially true when appointments are scheduled on the weekends. We can, however, accommodate larger groups by scheduling private appointments during the week or off hours.
Please note we do charge a $25 booking fee for off-hour appointments.
We also recommend that men not attend, as gowns may not fit the bride perfectly during the fitting, exposing areas that may not close properly. We have a seating area for those men who want to share in the experience.
3. Wear comfortable clothing
This is one of the number one questions we get from brides before their appointments. Our consultants work very closely with our guests, so wear whatever undergarments will make you feel most comfortable getting in and out of dresses with the help of your consultant. FYI - many brides wear a strapless bra or nipple covers, but many also don’t wear a bra at all. Either way is fine with us. YOU MUST wear some type of underwear, whether it’s Shapewear or a nude thong is up to you! If you have an idea of the shoes you’d like to wear or the height, it’s helpful to bring those along, especially to help with alterations. We do have a selection of shoes you can try on with your dresses.
4. Wear minimal make up and jewelry
Our beautiful dresses are made from delicate and intricate fabrics, which may become damaged by wearing makeup and jewelry.
5. Schedule your appointment at the right time
All appointment times are not created equal. While you will still receive the same level of service and same length appointment no matter when you visit, the vibe of the store around you can be vastly different on different days and times. Our weekends are BUSY. This means lots of energy, lots of stylists, and lots of brides. It can be so fun when different groups are interacting and cheering together when a bride says yes! Weekdays on the other hand are usually more quiet and more relaxed. You will likely have more space and more privacy, and the boutique will just be quieter in general.
6. Be Open Minded
Our stylists are experienced in working with all different size and shapes of brides and may likely suggest a particular style of dress for you to try on based on your body composition. Give it a try…no extra cost for trying on a different style.
7. Saying "YES" to your dress!
Brides are often under the impression that they need to shop, shop, shop before saying "YES" to the dress of their dreams. In our experience, we find that brides who keep the decision simple are the ones who truly have the most positive experience. Over-shopping gets exhausting, complicated, and confusing. If you have a great group of family & friends and find a dress you love, sometimes it's that simple!
8. What is your appointment cancellation policy?
We ask that you cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
We do charge $25 for appointments not cancelled within our policy, and for no shows.
9. What is your return/refund policy?
All our gowns are made to order. We do not accept any cancellations, returns or exchanges and all deposits are non-refundable.
